Griff is a trial lawyer and litigator who strives to provide a strong offense to secure the best possible results for his clients. He approaches every case as if it will go to trial, finding that early trial-oriented preparation actually helps to manage costs and enhance the likelihood of the best result for the client, even when a case ultimately settles out-of-court. Griff also handles appeals for his clients, having argued before almost every District Court of Appeal in Florida, the Florida Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals, 11th Circuit, and the Georgia Court of Appeals. He knows what he needs to do before, during and after trial to make sure he keeps the best results for his clients.
Although he grew up on a small farm outside of Jacksonville, Florida, Griff is a civil trial attorney who is licensed and has practiced in state and federal court, both in Florida and Georgia.
Griff credits much of his courtroom success to his experience as a U.S. Marine officer. He will tell you that Marines aren’t afraid of anything and simply don’t consider losing to be an option.

Education: Florida State University (B.S. in Criminology/Anthropology in 1984); Golden Gate University (M.S. in Human Resource Management in 1988); University of Florida, College of Law (J.D., with honors, in 1994).
Practice History: While still on active duty, Griff earned his M.S. In Human Resource Management and began employing what he learned in that program to the management and leadership of his Marines and assets in very challenging international, to include developing nation, environments. Following his international service as a Marine, Griff earned his Juris Doctor, with Honors, from the University of Florida, College of Law. He has spent his entire legal career as a civil litigator and trial lawyer, having tried cases in courtrooms throughout Florida and Georgia. He has over 20 years of experience working with employers, health care providers, product manufacturers, property owners, amusement parks, insurance companies and commercial transportation companies, including automobile dealerships, trucking companies, and bus lines.
Practice Areas: Lawsuits involving the defense of employers and management involving claims of discrimination, disparate treatment, wage and hour violations, violations of state and federal Whistle Blower Act, Worker’s Compensation retaliation, and hostile work environment. Also in defense of property owners and businesses involving claims of ADA Architecture irregularities. Griff regularly represents employers in matters to enforce non-solicitation and non-competition agreements and actions to protect business trade secrets and other business intellectual property. Griff’s practice also includes handling lawsuits with claims involving negligence, personal injury, construction defect, wrongful death, products liability, automobile and commercial carrier negligence,and premises liability.
